John 17 is the prayer our Lord prays. As Jesus is praying, He says that He and the Father are one.
What does oneness and commitment look like? You and I cannot create what Jesus is talking about through team building exercises. Jesus proclaims an internal-out, not external-in formula as is used in team building. Jesus was constantly annoying the religious people because they were external-in people. They wanted to murder our Savior because He was constantly going for the internal-out approach.
This is not something that Tim Duggins can produce. This is only something that the Spirit of God can produce. Relationally it's all about being in love with Jesus.
Do you know God? Are you in active faith relationship with Jesus Christ? We cannot be the church unless the center point of each one of us is Jesus. Our whole image needs to be about Jesus. Everything we do should flow from Jesus Christ.
Tim is not trying to force us to be unified. Tim wants us to take a step of faith to pursue Jesus and know Him like never before. If you embrace Him, you will get to experience oneness that you never thought was possible. We have to love Jesus with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
His prayer for us is that we will be one. The world will know that Jesus is really Messiah and that His love is available, real, and genuine in this world.
