Faith from the Word

Tim speaks from Romans 10 this week.

The book of Romans was written to help Israel understand this amazing story of redemption. Our traditional background says these verses are typically applied to preachers or for sending missionaries out into the world.

The original word for "preacher" is "herald"  What is a herald?  An official messenger, especially one representing a monarch; a forerunner or a person that proclaims or announces.

This message is not for some select group of people. If you have been redeemed and forgiven, you are an ambassador and act as a herald in an official position to speak or proclaim on behalf of the royal entity (Jesus) that has commissioned you.

The Spirit of God is at work. He wants to proclaim his message through us, and as you act as a herald, it will change the choices that you make in your life. He has made your heart and soul an ambassador for Him.

How does it work within your daily life? He wants to herald through you because it's about the Gospel message. What does God look for and honor in us? Faith!

Other scripture references:  Ephesians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:20.
